Recently, a delegation from Auto Import Georgia (AIG), one of Georgia’s leading automobile importers, made a special trip to China and visited Guazi Used Cars’ Beijing headquarters. The two sides reviewed the results of their cooperation over the past nearly two months and, on that basis, formally signed an in-depth cooperation agreement, raising their existing exclusive partnership to a new strategic level.

Georgia’s mainstream business media outlet BMG had previously given prominent coverage to the two companies’ first cooperation agreement. This latest upgrade has once again drawn attention from the automotive trade sector across the Caucasus region.

Securing a Eurasian Hub: Georgia Becomes a Key Springboard for Guazi’s Global Expansion

Located in the South Caucasus at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, with the Black Sea to its west, Georgia is an important gateway and trade corridor connecting Asia and Europe. Historically, it has been a key transport node along the Silk Road. As early as May this year, Guazi Used Cars’ overseas business team traveled to Georgia and signed an exclusive strategic cooperation agreement at AIG’s headquarters. Under the agreement, AIG became Guazi Used Cars’ exclusive partner and official core import channel in Georgia, while Guazi supports its local partner with China’s large vehicle supply base and digital fulfillment capabilities. During the exchange, the head of the AIG delegation said that the visit to Guazi Used Cars’ headquarters offered a clearer and more direct view of Guazi’s technological strength and service system in the vehicle transaction sector. It also strengthened both sides’ confidence in deepening the partnership. At present, Chinese used new-energy vehicles are gaining strong popularity in Central Asia, with broad market prospects. A deeper partnership with Guazi is expected to unlock even greater market potential.

Fu Jiaxiang, Vice President of Guazi Used Cars, said that the new-energy vehicle penetration rate on the Guazi platform is currently about three times higher than the overall market level and is expected to rise further. Relying on China’s large supply of new-energy vehicles, Guazi will bring more diverse and cost-effective Chinese vehicle choices to Georgia and Central Asia. Beyond vehicle exports, Guazi can also empower partners with its digital fulfillment capabilities, helping improve the quality and efficiency of cross-border used-car circulation.

Two Months of Export Execution Lay the Groundwork for Scaled Growth

In the two months since signing, Guazi and AIG have successfully completed the export and delivery process for used cars from China to Georgia, with transaction volume far exceeding expectations. During this period, the two sides worked together to overcome a series of cross-border export challenges, including logistics coordination, customs procedures and transport timelines. They have also developed effective solutions, creating an efficient operating template for future cooperation. At the same time, the companies have built deeper trust and stronger coordination through real-world execution, laying a solid foundation for this new round of deeper cooperation.

Compared with the earlier agreement, the new agreement represents a substantial upgrade in cooperation scope, trade scale and coordination mechanisms. Transaction volume is expected to grow several times over, providing institutional support and a clear path for the next stage of large-scale, regularized exports of Chinese used cars to the Georgian market.
