The process involves four key steps. First, register on the Guazi platform and submit a business license for approval, along with a USD 500 security deposit top-up. Once approved, you can bid in auctions. After winning, you must pay an initial USD 300 within 72 hours, followed by a 30% vehicle deposit within 10 days. Finally, Guazi handles export documentation and arranges shipping to your designated port, with the process typically taking 35-45 days from full payment.

Guazi performs over 300 detailed inspection items on every vehicle. If you receive a car with an undisclosed major defect, you must report it within three working days of arrival at the destination warehouse with photo and video evidence. Guazi will assist in arranging a third-party inspection for confirmation. If verified, they will facilitate a replacement or return process, ensuring protection against significant condition issues.

Guazi primarily uses two auction formats: Sealed-Bid and Live Auctions. In Sealed-Bid, the highest bidder wins but pays the second-highest bid price, with results announced daily. In Live Auctions, you compete in real-time with a 40-second timer. For both, bids must be in increments of whole hundred RMB, converted to USD at a session-fixed rate. A USD 500 minimum deposit is required to bid.

The total FOB cost includes the vehicle price, an Export Handling Fee (covers domestic transport to port and export documentation), and a Platform Service Fee. The Platform Service Fee consists of a Transaction Commission (minimum USD 280, maximum USD 1,600), a fixed USD 79 Gate Fee, and an Online Technology Fee (scales from USD 49 to USD 149 based on final bid price). Currently, the standard USD 150 Buyer Service Fee is free.

Under FOB terms, which are common, you (the buyer) designate the logistics provider and are responsible for the main freight and insurance. Guazi handles delivery to the Chinese port and export clearance. If damage or loss occurs during shipping, Guazi will assist you in filing a claim directly with the carrier you selected, as liability rests with the shipping company.

Cancellation penalties are strict to ensure platform fairness. If you fail to pay the initial USD 300 within 72 hours of winning, a USD 150 penalty is deducted from your security deposit. If you cancel after paying, a USD 150 processing fee is charged. For Live Auctions, failing to complete payment within 3 days results in a penalty of 10% of the transaction price (minimum USD 500).
